About the Equestrian Sports Productions Spring Series (ESP Spring Series)
The Equestrian Sports Productions Spring Series takes place annually at Wellington International, marking the start of the season with a spring circuit that reflects the venue’s commitment to high-quality sport and thoughtful presentation. Following the winter months, the series offers riders a chance to compete in a setting that feels familiar, well-run, and intentionally paced.
The Spring Series typically spans several weeks and includes shows such as Spring I, Spring II, and Spring III. Competition ranges from national classes to FEI CSI3* events, alongside hunter derbies and open jumper divisions. This variety brings together professionals, amateurs, and developing riders, all sharing the same arenas and high standards of footing and course design.
Spring I also holds a charitable focus, benefiting the A/T Children’s Project in support of research for ataxia-telangiectasia. With participants traveling from across the country and beyond, the ESP Spring Series continues to draw a diverse equestrian community to Wellington each spring.
