1. How does the breeches sizing work?

American sized breeches (Tailored Sportsman, RJ Classics) are equivalent in inches, and equivalent to waist size. These are generally true to size to jean sizes. Italian breeches (Equiline, For Horses), are sized as follows: 38=22, 40=24, 42=26, 44=28, 46=30, 48=32. For French breeches (Samshield), we use the American sizing equivalent. You should order the Samshield breeches based on your American sizing. However, you may find the French tag in your breeches, and the French to American size conversion is 32=22, 34=24, 36=26, 38=28, 40=30

 

2. How are the belts sized?

Belts are sized by measuring the belt from the middle hole to the end of the leather on a belt with a traditional buckle. For LILO belts that have a prong closure, belts are measured from the middle hole to the prong on the buckle.  Belt sizes are not equivalent to breeches sizes. Most people need to add 4 inches to their breeches size to get the correct belt size, but it’s always best to measure an existing belt. Tailored Sportsman can be shortened but are sized as follows: S=32in, M=35in, L=38in

3. Where is my order shipping from?

We ship from Wellington, FL from early October through the end of May. The rest of the year, we ship from our horse show location. Please refer to our schedule here.

4. Can I return an order that I bought online to your booth in person?

Yes, you can return an online order to our booth. Please make sure to do so within the 30 day return window, and bring your receipt. Likewise, you may mail back an order that you purchased in person. Please email us at info@jods.com to start a return.

5. Will you be at my next horse show?

6. How do I start a return or exchange?

8. What size should I buy?  

If you’re unsure of your size, please feel free to reach out to us by email. Please let us know what products you are considering. You can include your measurements, some current equestrian brands and sizes that work for you, and how you like your clothes to fit. Feel free to provide pictures of yourself as well, and we will give our best fit advice.
